Indian Restaurant - Winter Carriage

Inspired by Bombay’s old first-class railway coaches, vibrant art-deco buildings and retiring rooms in Indian railway stations, our restaurant space has been transformed into a festive train carriage, decked out using Molly’s hand-block printed fabrics and fittings in vibrant shades of pink and red. We invite you to dine within The Carriage as well as The Retiring Room as we serve our festive five-course feast of signature dishes courtesy of Culinary Director Surender Mohan.

Showcasing the spirit of the season, our Winter Carriage menu draws on best-loved classics and winter favourites from India including our Palak Patta Chaat, a choice of Malabar Tawa Seabass or Punjabi Bharwan Karela. The tandoor course offers guests the choice of either a Cafrael Chicken, with corn salad or Cauliflower Shawarma with pomegranate molasses, cream cheese, tahini and sumac, before feasting on the mains of Venison Roganjosh or Subz Diwani Handi alongside Bombay Bustle’s signature sides of Aloo Methi, Hyderabadi Khatti Dal and Aloo Anar Raita. To round things off, Chef Surender has created a special Bustle Rum Punch Pudding, with mixed berries, white chocolate and sour cherry ice cream.

The space itself is warm and welcoming with long luxurious linen curtains in Molly’s signature Luna pattern adorning the entrance. A bespoke Molly ‘Tuk Tuk’ pattern, hand-printed in Rajasthan onto lightweight cotton has been uniquely designed with a nod to India’s famous mode of transport, celebrating the charm of India with a British twist. Hand-crafted and delicately placed on lampshades, scalloped bunting and banquette cushions, the space is also peppered with hanging stars and hand-wrapped gifts block printed onto fabric paper that utilises waste fabric from the fashion industry.

The Winter Carriage marks a start of a new journey this festive season and it is a joy to welcome our patrons to celebrate the end of the year in style.
