Picnic Baskets Pau in the Park at Mayfair Restaurant - Bombay Bustle Bombay Bustle Restaurant

Everyone knows that no summer in London is complete without at least one picnic, so we’re very excited to announce the launch of Pao in the Park, our picnic baskets at Bombay Bustle!

Inspired by the Dabbawalas of Mumbai, who deliver towering boxes brimming with lunches, our own baskets will be filled with a feast of small eats, biryanis, sides and desserts.

Sample menu only, view current Order Online.

Picnic Menu Mayfair Restaurant

Our Executive Chef, Surender Mohan, has created two different baskets: The Bustle Basket for one - ideal for alfresco lunch breaks when working from home or in the office, and The Bombay Basket - designed to share, it’s perfect for catch-ups in the nearest park with friends or for a date.

Both baskets pay homage to the flavours and culture of Mumbai and include snacks such as Khatta Meetha and Kolkata Chanachur alongside long-standing favourites like samosas, lamb biryani and Methi Thepla.

And whilst picnics might conjure up images of sandwiches, taking centre stage in our baskets are something far more delicious: buttery paos! They’re Surender’s take on the much-loved Indian street food favourite and are deliciously moreish.

Choose from: Karwari Fish Pao with Rawa-crusted cod; the KFC Pao with Kerala fried chicken; the Junglee Maas Pao with Rajasthani spiced pulled lamb and the Kanda Bhaji Pao with onion fritters.

Rounding off the picnic will be an indulgent Rasgulla and, if you fancy an extra flourish, you can add a bundle of beer, wine or our signature cocktails.

With alfresco dining back on and lockdown easing, we can’t wait to get our pals together in a park for a picnic of paos!

Both baskets can be ordered now. Cutlery and chequered picnic blankets can also be hired for the picnic.

The Bustle Basket and The Bombay Basket are available for collection from Bombay Bustle from today -The Bustle Basket is also available for delivery.

We will be donating £1 from every picnic basket to support the Dabbawalas of Mumbai who are currently unable to work due to Covid.
